Adeline spent the time at the park sleeping. The boys spent the time going up and down the slide, then they both needed a snack & water break. :)

5 Weeks Old

Adeline is 5 weeks old this week. She is starting to be on more of a schedule (loosely speaking, she pretty much eats and sleeps when she wants to). She is now going to bed between 8 and 9, waking up around midnight, 3 or 4, and then again around 7. She is normally up for an hour and is drinking between 4 & 5 ounces when she wakes up. She tends to be awake in the morning until around 11 or noon, then takes a longer afternoon nap. This is not like clockwork everyday, but she is certainly more predictable then she was a couple weeks ago. Adeline likes to lay on her stomach and cuddle on our chests. She is also starting to smile! I know that it is suppose to be too early for her to smile, but she is smiling to voices. (I swear, it is not just gas or a reflex; maybe it is just the mom in me talking) :0)

We are really enjoying the weather this week. Yesterday, was one of the "Top 10" days of the year for weather in Omaha. It was beautiful! I had a dentist appointment, my mom came with me and watched Adeline while I had my appointment (THANKS, MOM!). Andy took advantage of the weather and cleaned out his van. :) Today we are meeting Colin & Owen at the park. I will post pictures later.

Adeline & I had a fun Friday together! Today we met mom (Grandma Jody), Katie, & Alissa for lunch then visited the carpet store. We thought we were going to be able to catch Andy in between jobs, but we weren't so lucky. Everyone at the carpet store went on and on about how much Adeline looks like Andy. Some are even calling her "Andy with an i" due to her being the female version of Andy. I am glad I married such a hunk! ;O)

Hello from the Dogs

The dogs have adjusted to life with our new member of the family. I think they are enjoying their own personal maternity leave with more time hanging around the house during the day.

The Moby Wrap

Grandma Susan gave us the "Moby Wrap" for Christmas. Yesterday, Kumari showed me a great position with the wrap and it is very comfortable. Adeline is happy in the wrap and I am able to have both of my hands free. Since she is so cozy in the wrap, she doesn't stay awake for too long once she is in it.. she is sleeping right now in the wrap while I am typing. Thanks Susan!
