Adeline had her 4 month check-up this week. We are starting her on rice cereal and slowly adding vegetables and fruit. She weighed 18 pounds and 8 ounces and was almost 27 inches long. Adeline likes to rock side to side and grab her feet. Reaching for objects is now much more deliberate and she likes to hold things in her hands-- like my hair :0). She continues to make us smile and her laugh has proven to be contagious.

Layla is Trying the Bumbo
Katie joked that Layla would try the Bumbo next. Yesterday morning, I left the room to change Adeline's diaper and we came back to see the Bumbo flipped over. A few moments later, I witnessed how it happened....

First the Boppy, Now This...
Layla first tried out Adeline's Boppy, now she is trying out the saucer. What is next? I don't think she will fit in the Bumbo. :)

Happy Birthday to Andy & Keith! Adeline helped make cupcakes for Andy today. She spent a lot of the time sucking her hand and drooling, all really sanitary habits for a baker. ;0)

One of Adeline's New Sounds
A couple weeks ago, Adeline began making a new sound. If Andy or I make the sound, she will mimic it. She is starting to discover lots of new sounds. Giggling is also becoming more and more frequent.

Thanks, Jordan!
One of my former 3rd grade students, Jordan, gave Adeline this adorable basketball jersey with matching socks & a hat too. Andy and I have gone to watch Jordan play basketball a couple times throughout the years. Next time, we will bring Adeline to cheer him on!
