It has been a whirlwind at our home! I have many more pictures and even some video clips to share, but finding a moment to get them on the blog is proving to be very challenging. More will come, probably not tomorrow or the next.. but in the near future. Thank you to all of our friends and family for the warm wishes and support over the last few days! :)

Our First Family Picture

Welcome, Baby Scarlet!

On January 6, 2011 we welcomed Scarlet Ann into the world at 4:20 in the morning. Weighing 8 pounds, 2 ounces and 20- 1/2 inches long she is just perfect in every way. Welcome, Scarlet!

Basketball Game

Andy and I had a fun time taking Adeline to the Creighton v. Drake basketball game. Adeline had a blast dancing to all the music. Time-outs were here favorite for this reason.

Winter Trip to the Zoo

Over winter break, Adeline & I met Jacque and the boys at the zoo. We were able to see the baby cheetah cubs, sun bears, a toddler gorilla, and Adeline's favorite- the aquarium. Adeline was on the go! Luckily the boys were there to help chase after her. She would run around every corner with exclamations of "ooohhh", "awww", and "wow" among many giggles.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

From our home to yours, we would like to wish all of our friends and family a happy holiday season! Thank you all so much for your ongoing love and support, we feel so lucky to have you all in our lives. We hope you enjoy a few pictures and video clips from our Christmas.

Christmas Evening with the Wises

Katie and Dave invited us over Christmas evening for dinner. Molly and Adeline had the best time playing dress-up with some of Molly's new Christmas toys.

Christmas Day at Home

Christmas Eve

After Christmas Eve Mass, we all celebrated at my mom and dad's house. With all of the cousins together, there is never a dull moment. There are a couple video clips and pictures from the evening- luckily, not one person was sick this year, so we were all able to enjoy each other. :)

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

We had the perfect amount of snow flurries this Christmas. Enough snow for a "White Christmas" without scary road conditions, like last year. Adeline was able to sport her new snow gear from Grandma & Grandpa Martin. I felt like my mother, bundling Adeline up so much that she could barely walk. I remember the days of sledding when we would waddle outside after my mom would put layer after layer on all four of us. We would keep warm though, sledding and playing in the snow for hours. Although, I do remember thinking it would be easier just to pee my pants then to go back inside and attempt to undress my armor of a snowsuit. As you can see from some of the pictures, Adeline was not happy at all to come back inside while her "Da Da" finished shoveling the driveway.

Louie M's

After Kaleb's game, we went out to lunch with Grandma & Grandpa Hughes at one of our favorite spots. It was our lucky day, halfway through lunch we were graced with a big group of carolers. Adeline had many rounds of applause for them.

CHAMPIONS!

A big CONGRATS to our little Champion- Kaleb! Kaleb and his 2nd grade basketball team played in the league championship today against 3rd graders and won. Great job, we are so proud of you! :)

"My Dear Sweet Adeline"

Great Grandma Morrison calls Adeline "My Dear Sweet Adeline." Adeline had a blast helping her Great Grammy decorate for Christmas and open her Christmas cards. Adeline had lots of hugs and kisses for her Great Grandma. As always, we had a great visit with Grandma. We wanted to come visit for the holidays before getting too close to my due date because I am not suppose to travel too far from home. Merry Christmas, Grandma Morrision! We love you!

Thanks!

Adeline LOVES her Christmas present from Colby, Annie, Delaney, Avery, & Burke. She is constantly playing with her new stroller every chance she gets.

Tubby Time

I love my cuddle time with Adeline after she gets out of the bath. She can be such a ham! In a few (or less) short weeks, there will be another little girl to cuddle after bath time. :)

Hughes Christmas

We celebrated Hughes Christmas on Sunday. Unfortunately, many of my pictures came out blurry. I thought I got more shots of all of the cousins with Santa, but many didn't turn out. Uncle Steve had a blast playing "softball" with all of the kids. The annual auction and gingerbread houses were a success. Of course, Santa was a big hit. We enjoyed many of our Christmas traditions, although Grandma Hughes was missed dearly by all.
All of the kids were very excited when Santa walked in the room. We didn't know how Adeline would react- whether or not she would be excited or scared. She was excited- she greeted him with a hug. She now cheerfully says "Santa".

Adeline kept bringing Santa tissue paper and other toys as she was "waiting" for her turn.

Colin asking Santa for a "Toy Santa". A big congrats to Colin, he will be a big brother in June! YEAH!
