Pure Joy!

These are the little moments that it is all about! Scarlet and I went on a walk, just the two of us, and after about 10 minutes that I think she figured out that it really was just the two of us she kept looking up at me from the stroller every few seconds with this look of just pure joy.

Arbonne Never Looked So Good!

This girl just never ceases to amaze me. She just cracks me up! Such a character and so busy. She was so proud to show me her new look.

Outside Easter Egg Hunt

If there was to be a 'winner' during the Easter Egg hunt it would go to Scarlet by a landslide! She put on her blinders and was determined to find every egg while Adeline would find an egg sit on the step and enjoy every bite before hunting for more. It was pretty funny- Scarlet was even pointing at ones that were hidden in a tree branch or on the propane tank for us to get them for her.

Easter Breakfast

The Easter Bunny Came!

The girls woke up to find that the Easter Bunny visited while they were sleeping. They raced around so excited to find their Easter baskets and to fill them up with eggs. Nothing like started the morning with chocolate kisses and jelly beans!

Unexpected Bug

Well, we have been planning to spend Easter in Wichita for quite some time now but an unexpected stomach flu bug made its way into our house this weekend. Poor Adeline got really sick with the stomach flu on Friday. So we had to cancel our weekend in Wichita. We were all very disappointed. Everyone is feeling good today and we were still able to celebrate Easter with just our family. Luckily, the Easter Bunny didn't forget to stop by our house. We are enjoying a quiet day at home and the girls woke to an Easter egg hunt and cinnamon rolls.

Grandma Morrison

My Grandma Morrison would have been 90 years old this last Wednesday, April 4th. We miss her dearly. She was such an inspiration, so strong, and so giving. No words could capture what a full life my Grandma Morrison lived!

Baby Giraffes

The zoo has 2 new baby giraffes that were born in March. So darling! I will say, Adeline enjoys sitting on the statue of the baby giraffe more than watching real ones.

Some Action Shots..

Here are a few "action" shots from Adeline's first soccer game. See the picture of Scarlet kicking the ball.... she played more than Adeline and Holden combined. Adeline and Holden wanted to eat snacks on the blanket (can you blame them). Adeline found a mud puddle and had a ball! I will say for game 2, Adeline and Holden both played a little more. It is just a little too much for them this year, but they do have fun and like to talk about playing soccer. Adeline loves to put on her shin guards at home and run around the yard, kicking her pink soccer ball. Dan, Andy, Kumari, and I will have many good laughs from this season and one very good lesson learned.... Wyatt and Scarlet will not be joining a soccer team when they are 3. ;)

A couple pictures from the weekend visit with Gaga & Papa Martin at Christy Creme:

Adeline's Soccer Team

Adeline and Holden are playing on a 3-4 year old soccer team. I officially blame Kumari. Next year, I think we will just go to Old Nelly Farms and kick the ball around with matching tshirts and call it good.

Shh.. Baby!

This is a frequent scenario in our house. As we are playing, Adeline first puts "Baby Adeline" to sleep then she decides everyone should take a "nap". She keeps peeking over at Scarlet and finally demands, "Baby- close your eyes.. can't you see we are all sleeping!" No need to remind Ms. Layla, she loves this game! ;)

15 Months!

What a BEAUTIFUL Spring!

We have really been taking advantage of this beautiful weather! Many visits to the park, zoo, and just simply playing outside.

Round 2

Adeline picked a purple cupcake for her and Scarlet the first time around and blue cupcakes for Andy and me. For round 2 of cupcakes Adeline had a pink cupcake and so did her dad. Of course, we made "fireworks" again for her birthday and sang for round 2.

Make a Wish!

Pinkalicious, Purplicious, & Bluelicious!

Adeline was very specific about her birthday cupcake requests. :)

Dance Party!

It was really hard to get a picture of the kids because they were moving so fast, running circles, and dancing their little hearts out. Needless to say, we had quite a few laughs watching them!

Ferris Wheel & Soccer Stuff

After breakfast, we made a stop to get all of Adeline's soccer gear and ride the ferris wheel. Adeline starts a soccer league next weekend with Holden. She is pretty excited! She even wanted to wear her shin guards out to eat.

Our Birthday Girl!

I really can't believe that Adeline turned 3 today! She brings so much joy and laughter to our days. She is our little social butterfly with such a great sense of humor and imagination. She certainly keeps us on our toes. We had a fun day from morning to night with a special birthday breakfast at Dixie Quicks for chocolate covered pancakes and ending the day dancing to music at The Twisted Tail with many other fun packed adventures along the way. Other than the whole mermaid and unicorn thing, I think Adeline's birthday wishes were fulfilled. Happy Birthday to our Dear, Sweet Adeline! We love you "so, so, so, so" much!

For My 3rd Birthday..

For Adeline's 3rd Birthday she wants chocolate icecream, cupcakes, pizza, to go see princesses and mermaids in the castle, soccer stuff, a dinosaur book, a unicorn, and a crown.

Purplicious!

Adeline has called Aunt Jacque a couple times requesting Pinkalicious and Purplicious cupcakes but she finally decided on purple. Jacque and the boys made a special trip to get all of the supplies to make purple cupcakes. What a great Godmom!

Colds & Coughs

We are on the mend, but the girls were hit with temps, colds and coughs this month. Because of that we had quite a few lazy days of resting.

Movie & Snacks

Big Sister

Adeline loves helping feed Scarlet. Who needs a doll when you have the real thing.

Blogging

I caught Scarlet typing away, she is always blogging. :)
