May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks,
May your heart be as light as a song,
May each day bring you bright, happy hours,
That stay with you all the year long.
Adeline picked a purple cupcake for her and Scarlet the first time around and blue cupcakes for Andy and me. For round 2 of cupcakes Adeline had a pink cupcake and so did her dad. Of course, we made "fireworks" again for her birthday and sang for round 2.
It was really hard to get a picture of the kids because they were moving so fast, running circles, and dancing their little hearts out. Needless to say, we had quite a few laughs watching them!
After breakfast, we made a stop to get all of Adeline's soccer gear and ride the ferris wheel. Adeline starts a soccer league next weekend with Holden. She is pretty excited! She even wanted to wear her shin guards out to eat.
I really can't believe that Adeline turned 3 today! She brings so much joy and laughter to our days. She is our little social butterfly with such a great sense of humor and imagination. She certainly keeps us on our toes. We had a fun day from morning to night with a special birthday breakfast at Dixie Quicks for chocolate covered pancakes and ending the day dancing to music at The Twisted Tail with many other fun packed adventures along the way. Other than the whole mermaid and unicorn thing, I think Adeline's birthday wishes were fulfilled. Happy Birthday to our Dear, Sweet Adeline! We love you "so, so, so, so" much!
For Adeline's 3rd Birthday she wants chocolate icecream, cupcakes, pizza, to go see princesses and mermaids in the castle, soccer stuff, a dinosaur book, a unicorn, and a crown.
Adeline has called Aunt Jacque a couple times requesting Pinkalicious and Purplicious cupcakes but she finally decided on purple. Jacque and the boys made a special trip to get all of the supplies to make purple cupcakes. What a great Godmom!
Scarlet's first haircut was not in the salon, it was from hairstylist in training Adeline Marie. The culprit: Adeline's first pair of kid scissors purchased the day before. I went to the other room to put a pile of laundry away for what felt like a second and in that time Adeline climbed up on a chair to get into the cabinet and get her scissors. She cut a lock of Scarlet's hair right under the little pony on top of her head. When I walked in the room, Adeline immediately said, "I only cut paper, I only cut paper, Terri cuts hair!"
Using ribbons Adeline helped me hang the wax paper hearts around the kitchen. When Andy got home from work Adeline was very excited to show him what she had done and she exclaimed, "THIS IS ALL FOR YOU, DADDY!"
Valentine's Day is around the corner, so it is the perfect time to do some heart themed art projects. We used crayon shavings, wax paper, and an iron to make these darling window hangings.
