Two Weeks!

Scarlet's 2 week well check was scheduled for Friday, but she had a clogged tear duct so I took her to the doctor on Monday to get it checked out. The goal is to have her at her birth weight (8 lbs, 2 oz) at 2 weeks (which is tomorrow) and as of Monday, she was already 8 lbs, 12 oz. It is such a relief to know that she is eating so well! She is such a happy baby!

Adeline was having some difficulties adjusting, as expected. For example, you can see her in Scarlet's carseat. :) The last two days she has really come around and seems back to herself. Yay! Watching her look at her baby sister, give her kisses, and "tickle" her just melts our hearts.

What a Cute Package!

Brett & Lacey-
Thanks for the darling gift! What a fun package to get in the mail, so creative and thoughtful!

A Whole Week

I can't believe it has already been a week- what a whirlwind! The time goes so fast and Scarlet changes everyday. This morning I told Andy I couldn't believe that it has already been a week and his response was, 'I know, it feels like three.' Ha! We both got a good laugh. Looking back, it literally feels like yesterday that we brought Adeline home from the hospital.. time really does fly. As Grandma Hughes told me, I am going to enjoy every minute because it all goes too fast.

Adeline's First Sledding Trip

Andy came home with a big surprise for Adeline, a sled to take her on her first sledding trip. With the big snow we had this past weekend and Adeline needing some special one on one time, it couldn't have been more perfect timing. Watching Andy and Adeline from the window was quite hysterical as he would carry the sled in one arm and Adeline would either be on his shoulders, in the sled, or in the other arm up the hill.

Amazing Grandmothers!

Grandma Susan and Grandma Jody have been a HUGE help this first week! Wow! In the midst of this amazing, yet overwhelming week you both came in at just the right moments and have been such a huge help. Lots of thanks and love!

Scarlet's First Bath

Thank You!

We feel so lucky to be surrounding by such an amazing support system. I know I wasn't able to get pictures of everyone that came to visit.. sorry, if your snapshot isn't up here- but please know that your visit meant a lot to us, I was just a little forgetful about taking a picture each time. Also, a special thanks for the wonderful basket of goodies waiting for us when we came home from the Duricks and Birusinghs, that was so thoughtful! All of the messages from family & friends close and far away have really meant the world to us- thank you!

It's A Girl!

The little favors Grandma Susan made were a big hit at the hospital!
