Purplicious!

Adeline has called Aunt Jacque a couple times requesting Pinkalicious and Purplicious cupcakes but she finally decided on purple. Jacque and the boys made a special trip to get all of the supplies to make purple cupcakes. What a great Godmom!

Colds & Coughs

We are on the mend, but the girls were hit with temps, colds and coughs this month. Because of that we had quite a few lazy days of resting.

Movie & Snacks

Big Sister

Adeline loves helping feed Scarlet. Who needs a doll when you have the real thing.

Blogging

I caught Scarlet typing away, she is always blogging. :)

Scarlet's First Haircut

Scarlet's first haircut was not in the salon, it was from hairstylist in training Adeline Marie. The culprit: Adeline's first pair of kid scissors purchased the day before. I went to the other room to put a pile of laundry away for what felt like a second and in that time Adeline climbed up on a chair to get into the cabinet and get her scissors. She cut a lock of Scarlet's hair right under the little pony on top of her head. When I walked in the room, Adeline immediately said, "I only cut paper, I only cut paper, Terri cuts hair!"

This is ALL for YOU, DADDY!

Using ribbons Adeline helped me hang the wax paper hearts around the kitchen. When Andy got home from work Adeline was very excited to show him what she had done and she exclaimed, "THIS IS ALL FOR YOU, DADDY!"

Around the Corner..

Valentine's Day is around the corner, so it is the perfect time to do some heart themed art projects. We used crayon shavings, wax paper, and an iron to make these darling window hangings.

S.W.A.K.

We spent the afternoon making valentines. Adeline and Scarlet made sure they were sealed with a kiss (SWAK).

Time to Build a Snowman

Andy and Adeline took advantage of the snowstorm and built a snowman. We will have to add a face!

Painting

This is what painting looks like with a 1 and 2 year old...

Ready for Breakfast

Copper, Layla, & Bob

Katie and Dave's family introduced a new furry friend to their family- Copper the Doubledoo. He is just a ball of fluffy sweetness. It is so nice living close to them, we often will go over and play for 30 minutes or so outside when the girls wake up from their naps and Owen & Molly get home from school. It is just perfect timing. Especially with this beautiful winter, we are often even able to walk over around the back through the field. It is so funny, because whenever we go on a walk- Bob our cat follows us there and back. He is more like a dog than a cat. :)

The Battle of the PJs

My mom surprised the girls with a pair of pajamas. Scarlet got the pink princess pajamas and Adeline got a dance theme nightgown. Uh-Oh! Who would have known that this could have caused so much turbulence? Needless to say without going into the gory details, when I tried to put Scarlet into her princess pajamas.. it wasn't going to happen. Of course, my mom went and found princess pajamas for Adeline too. So, now they can BOTH wear their princess pajamas. And the peace has been restored.

Arts and Crafts

During arts and crafts time Scarlet spends a little of her time scribbling and a lot of her time tasting the supplies. Adeline is really starting to master her "creepy witch", "tall giraffe", and "snowman". Those tend to be her top three things she wants to draw these days.

My Blankie!

Every morning, Adeline comes out of her bedroom with a dolly and her blankie in tow.
