2 Month Doctor Check-Up

Adeline had her 2 month check-up (she is actually 10 weeks). She had to get a few shots... I wasn't prepared for how upset that made her. Her face turned bright red and she had a real tear! She recovered quickly though. The rest of her check-up went well. She is certainly growing, as you can tell from the pictures. She now weighs 13 pounds, 10 ounces and is 24 1/2 inches long.

Alex, Perry, & Adeline

Yesterday, Adeline and I hung out with Shanda, Perry, Monica, & Alex. We enjoyed relaxing (and chasing the boys) at the pool. It is always great to see Shanda & Monica and their adorable boys! It seems like most of our friends have little boys.. Andy is already getting nervous. :0)

Cousins

On Tuesday, Jacque watched Adeline while I was at work. Kaleb & Aiden are on summer vacation and Owen & Molly came over to play for the morning. The funny part about this is all of these kids could belong to Jacque. To think, my Grandma Hughes had 11 kids in 13 years... with no twins! Wow!

Back to Work, Summer, & Smiles!

It has been quite a while since I last updated the blog. I went back to work for a couple of weeks. While I went to work, we were fortunate to have Adeline stay with family. A special thanks to Mom, Susan, & Jacque for watching Adeline while I went back to work.. it made a difficult task much easier! Going back to work went well, I work with a fabulous group of teachers and students! Things have been busy at our house and I am looking forward to having a couple months at home with Adeline this summer.

Adeline's First Trip to Wichita

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went to Wichita to visit Keith, Susan, & Sam. All five of us (Andy, Adeline, Wrigley, Layla, & I) had a fun & relaxing time. Andy & I went to our friends' wedding reception (it was our first night out together since Adeline was born). Andy, Keith, & Sam went golfing while Susan, Adeline, and I stayed home and relaxed. Sunday morning we went to church and Adeline was able to meet many dear friends. We are looking forward to another visit to Wichita in July.

Weekend Visit

Keith and Susan visited for the weekend. We enjoyed the visit, it was a fun time! The weather was absolutely beautiful. Andy & Keith went mushroom hunting & smoked turkey legs. We had lunch at one of my favorite places, Christy Creme. Most importantly, Keith & Susan were able to spend lots of time with Adeline.
